Touch screen protector it is… but not specifically designed for the HTC Hero. This item is a generic product that appears to have been designed for the iPhone. If I had known this was a generic screen protector, I would have bought one for cheaper elsewhere… or at least found a legit HTC Hero screen protector that fits the device perfectly. This does cover about 98% of the screen but still leaves gaps around the corners and a 5mm gap at the top.
