Product Description
Cameras fitted with normal lenses do not permit us to move closer than a certain minimum distance from the object being photographed. The Close-Up lens, which is simply mounted in the front of our normal taking lens, permits the taking of close-ups and also makes possible the photography of details which would be quite impossible without using the Close-Up lens.
The easy to use solution for getting extra close. These lenses enable you to get much closer than the minimum focus of the standard camera lens – as close as 4 inches from the subject. Ideal for cataloging small items and focusing on details.

I found the optical elements to be “okay” but the rings are awfully cheap-stuff when it comes to attaching it to the lens or one another.
I would rather have spent my money with better quality extenders.

I am using these on my Nikon Digital SLR D40 and they work great. They are cheap and they do the job. What more do you want?

These are some great close-up lenses for macro shots! They are made of good quality glass and the results are good… I use these with my canon Rebel XTi and they work great. With some practice, some very clear and sharp shots can be acheived at maximum magnification without the use of a tripod, although there is some noise issue. Manual focus is definatly recomended when using these because it gives more control on where and what you want to focus on more, although Auto focus still works fine regardless. Recommended if you want to experiment with macro.

I was impressed with the quality of the glass and the overall clarity of the magnified images produced by these lenses. At the very highest magnification, of course, it was difficult to get a good focus and nearly impossible to eliminate motion blur without some sort of fixed mount for the camera, but that’s to be expected. With a good tripod and a bit of patience, however, these lenses produce some absolutely awesome magnified images — there’s nothing like being able to count the hairs on a butterfly’s head. If you’re into macro photography or you’d like to try it, these lenses are recommended for everyone from the beginner to the pro.
